Dpf?

I drove over 300 miles today mainly interstate driving, counted 6 regens and noticed a stumble in the engine at 2700 rpms. I noticed it would stumble when I took off after exiting the highway. When it would stumble I could accelerate out of the stumble and then when I leveled out on the highway it would go into regen. Turned 100000 miles Monday, do I have a clogged DPF?

6 Regens in 300 miles is about 5 too many. I'd say your DPF is clogged and needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Thanks for the reply. I did not get a chance to call the dealer today. I drove around 150 miles today, highway and city, I had two regens, but no stumble at 2700 rpms like yesterday.

That sounds like way too many regens. I usually get 2-3 full tanks of fuel avg about 300-325 miles per tank before I even get one regen cycle.

I doubt your dpf is clogged up. Most likely something else. Take it to a good Ford dealer and have it ck'd out and let us know. Good luck..........

Amen to that! Now for the tree huggers out there - where I park my truck at work there are some shrubs that I back up to and the ones on the tail pipe side are almost dead. I wonder what kind of pollutants these 6.4's emit to kill them.
