drove a 6.4.... very quick compaired to 7.3 - Diesel Forum

I got the chance to drive a regular cab with the 6.4 and WOW. It can run right with my 7.3 with my chip on the 140 setting. I would maybe barly outrun it. I ran a 15.8 in the quarter with my setup. So i would bet these trucks can run low 16's stock. that's very imressive. has anyone seen any quarter mile tests for the 6.4? I can't wait to see what they can do with a few mods. Espcially uncorking the exhuast(that is if it'll still run right).

any mods at all and its yours, meaning warranty is gone. Think they were tough on it before? Get ready. Maybe a completly off road racer truck, trust me the potential is there to make serious power. The average guy thinking of sticking any mod (power) on it at all needs to rethink the deal.

That's fine for me because i won't be able to afford one till it's out of warraty in a couple years. I think the aftermarket will start out slow because of this reason. but, in a year or two when some start to get out of warranty we will see the real potentail. Yes, it does suck though for new truck owners.
