hey guys i'm new to this site and my 06 f250. i got 92k on it now and am noticing white smoke with all start ups even when warm. it last a little while and then goes away. also i have been losing little amounts of coolant in the resivoir. could this egr valve be my problem??
thanks is this egr something ford should take care of as part of the 100,oo0 mile warranty? could any of this be related to the tune and exhaust i just had put on? its only set on middle at about 65hp and an airraid intake with a 4inch turbo back exhaust. rest is all stock.
My 2008 just had an EGR failure and has been in the shop for 3 days. I'm being told by the dealer that Ford warranty won't cover a loaner vehicle ( Canada ) ... Has anyone else been told this ? I would have expected Ford to be doing everything to retain their customers, but now I am renting a car at my own expense ..
In my case, it was severe loss of power like it was running on 2 cyls, extreme levels white smoke from the exhaust , strong smell of diesel fuel, check engine light. It was unable to go any more than 10kph. I stopped immediatly and called a tow truck.
mines now at ford. wouldnt die but smoke was getting more and i pulled the ebr valve and it looked bad.. i only got 7k left on waranty so i got it in. my mech did a coolaant chem test and confirmed head gasket was gone most likely. egr cooler and valve most likely.. oh yeah no loaner car and this is my work truck.. im also looking into the delete kit but not sure if i would need to use arp studs to do so.. any one know. my tune is only a 60hp fuel econ tune. also someone on here told me that it should only be a 50 dollar decductable and they are charging me 100 so i will be calling corporate ford today . $40,000 dollar truck and i got 93k on it. what a joke....
