I notice the regen when I do a lot of city driving. But when I'm on the highway a lot I hardly notice it at all.The DPF filter definitely stays cleaner the more highway driving you do.I had problems in the spring with mine and thought there was something seriously wrong with the truck. Took it to the dealer and the shop foreman took it out on the highway with me and after about 10 minutes the problem cleared up. He said too much stop and go traffic without an occasional highway run will cause the DPF filter to plug faster.

My first regen came at 6600 miles. I have a stick, and tach it up every chance I get. I have done this with all of my trucks, and have had no DPF or EGR problems at all. Your truck will fall on its face if you mash it. Try pushing the go pedal half way then feather it to the floor. I have learned to do this while going through the gears, and I get better response.

You should be regening every 100-200 miles.

There are 2 possibilities:

1. You just aren't noticing every regen.

2. Your DPF is cracked. Is the inside of your tailpipes black?
