exhaust leak

have 12k on 2008 F350. developed a shrill whine about 2k rpm. local dealer called Ford about it. the response said the clamp on 3.5 inch exhaust pipe mounted to turbo had failed. Ford seemed quite familiar with problem. dealer will work on it next week. they do not believe the body has to be removed to reach pipe. anyone else have this problem?

Re: exhaust leak

I don't, but my son does. As a matter of fact he asked me about it just a couple of hours ago. He said his whistles most all the time. I told him to check all of the hoses to see if they were tight. His truck is a company truck (not his), but he keeps it all the time. He's put about 12,000 real hard miles on it so far and this is the only problem he's spoke of. The truck has spent most all of it's life in the mountains in 4Low, idles a lot, hauls around a hundred gallons of off road diesel for equipment, etc.
