Any suggestions on why all of a sudden I could have an exhaust leak under the hood of my 08 f250 112k coming from behind the turbo at the fire wall somewhere hard to see exactly where at. Could it be the up pipe or do you all think its something else . Just happened all at once sounds like a jet under my hood.
I'm guessing the uppipes, they hook to the exhaust manifolds and go to the turbos. Diesel Power just did the 10 worst problems for the 6.4 and this was one of them. They showed a pic of the uppipe, it has a 90 bend in it to get the exhaust to the turbo, the metal fatigues and stretches, and blows out. Their best fix was to get 6.0 exhaust manifolds they already has a 90 bend cast into them. Or just replace the uppipes and wait till it happens again.

What else do you need? Well for starters. HEAD STUDS!!!!
Then you can add: EGR Delete, Trans Filter upgrade, Air Dog 165, Upgraded Bellows, Intercooler pipe, 4" Down pipe, and Tial Wastegate.

Yes. Drop the trans crossmember, the down pipe and lower the rear of the trans. Still sucks though. IT is a little easier with the trans out. You can properly torque the fasteners then. Only takes a couple hours to take the trans out and back in. But then again, it doesnt take all that long to take the cab off.
