Hey, my F 450 broke down today and left me stranded. It had been acting a bit sluggish, Like it was missing. Coming up the highway it just quit and wouldnt restart. The oil light, battery light and engine light came on and I got it to the side of the road and I called for a tow truck. O'meara Ford can't get to it until Monday so I will let you know what the scoop is. I have 14500 miles on my truck now and I take care of it, but I Use it. Lisa
Good luck with that. Its not unreasonable that they wait until Monday considering this is Friday. They will find what is wrong quick I bet and you will be back up and running...
They can keep it as long as they need to, as long as it gets fixed... I was only about a mile from the Ford Dealership and I didnt have my horsetrailer with me ... so no big deal. Roadside assistance was all over it and took great care of me...
Was your radiator leaking at all? I have been told that some of the Job 1 trucks with the bad radiator have had the leak spill on some electrical connection and short them out which kills the whole truck.

I had my radiator replaced in Sept. It wasnt running right, before it broke down. If felt like the gas pedal was sluggish, It was missing... It was also going through fuel! We will see! My friend has one right now that has a huge exhaust problem. They are having to pull the cab off of the chassis to get at the problem. I will get more info on this later. I will see her at a Barrel race this weekend, and get the scoop. Lisa
They will hook it up to a compter and will have the symtoms diagnosed in short order. I hope the repairs will be just as quick since you roll your truck.

I just talked to the Service rep and he said the fuel pump has no pressure. They are working on it and I should have it back Maybe by Friday. My friend, Lori's, truck Blew a gasket between the turbos and she should have it back Fri Too. Hers has been out for 2 weeks or so ... Lisa
Hey I just got my truck back and O'meara Ford was Awesome! They fixed the fuel pump and detailed my truck inside and out.... It looks brand new!!!!This was no easy job (Rodeo Rig) AND they didnt charge me a dime. They also mentioned that I shouldnt be having this much trouble with my truck and that I need to put that in the "comments" section of my comment card that Ford send out.
Hello,Great that they took care of you.I had a similiar problem,it was the wire being pinched under the cover for the for the high pressure fuel pump.Is this what your problem was?

This seems to be the rare occasion now. You read so many horror stories where the dealer will not fix a truck that is still under warranty.
