Question Filters interchange with the 6.0?

Hello All,

Will the oil and fuel filters for a 6.0 work on a 6.4? I have several of each 6.0 filter stockpiled but may jump on a 6.4 deal.

Jim

I bought the air and fuel filter at ford truckshop online.

Maybe not the cheapest but the best I could find in a pinch.

Anybody else?

Diesel Filters,Additives, brake rotors, and brake pads for Chevy, Dodge and Ford Diesel Trucks is a great place to pick up your oil and fuel filters. I think they might even sell the air filter too.

That is the standard price for oil changes. There's nothing like doing it yourself for half the price and the satisfaction of knowing that it will get done with the weight oil YOU want as opposed to what the dealer has more than they know what to do with (e.g., 10W30).

If you didn't ask prior to having the filters changed it is not a rip off. It is called bad judgement!! I would not fault the dealer as he saw you coming!!

Just got two Fram oil filters with a coupon at Pep Boy's for $7.50. Now if I can just get a good deal like that on oil too, that would be great!!

It is bad voodoo to use anything other than a Motorcraft filter in a powerstroke. Many of the after market filters are shorter and allow oil to bypass because it does not seat properly. These motors are way to expensive to try and save a few dollars on a filter. Go to you tube and search powerstroke oil filter and there is a very good vid that shows why you should not use anything other than a Motorcraft. Beside a non-Motorcraft filter will void you warranty.
