Hey! I took your post to say that an '08 had spouting flames and toasted a Saturn. Purty truck. Wish I had mine to show off.

Re: Flamethrower-Another one's gone-Another one's gone-Another one bites the dust
I just picked it up this afternoon. Every one says the 08 is a flamethrower, yada, yada, yada.,. I bought an early 99 on March 9, 1998. If you want to talk about launch problems, the 08 is very timid compared to the early 99 7.3.
After all of the initial problems were solved through numerous TSB's it ended up being a decent truck. My 01 and my 05 were both good trucks. The new 08’s seem to be to be several notches higher than all of my past trucks!

Thank You! Did you notive the chrome bug deflector. It hides the Super Duty on the grill and it was funny watching the dealership trying to install it. It's the first one they did and about half of the boys in the garage were over offering opinions. Too mant cooks in the kitchen. Re: Flamethrower-Another one's gone-Another one's gone-Another one bites the dust
Thanks Kevin. It was ordered on February 22, 2007 and delivered today April 27, 2007. I keep watching the progress of your truck, John's truck, Capt's truck, and Vegas Bob's truck over on Blue Oval. Hope you all get them soon and that all of you have great luck with them.

Did you notice the chrome bug deflector.

I helped DH install our chrome bug deflector last weekend. It does take two, but anymore it would have taken longer. He installed the window rain deflectors by himself.

Dave,
Your understatement doesn't come close to how I feel. Thank all of you for the kind comments.
My dealer is about 45 miles from home and the lie-o-meter told me I was getting 15.5 mpg on the way home. I have the 4.30's and of course I didn't drive it over 1,800 rmp as per Diesel Jay's instuctions on breaking in a new motor. The truck had 15 miles on it when I picked it up. I filled it up next to the dealer and reset the lie-o-meter before I left the station.
I feel like I need to pass out cigars for the new addition to the family.
