Fuel in oil?

I think I'm getting fuel in my oil? Oil is jet black after 1500 miles and oil looks like it is raising. Help!

Bill

I was always adding 14 quarts during oil change but i would get out 14.5 and sometimes 15 quarts. Then I went to Spartan and my oil dilution issue is totally gone. Blackstone report did say 2.5% before spartan now i show no fuel in oil after 5000K. Stop regens and stop fuel dilution for sure on these trucks.

My last oil change showed similar results to everyones, The previous ones did not. The only thing I can think of is what I did before the previous oil changes was I did not drive out to the Highway as I did in the past when my cleaning filter message came on. In fact on two occasions I did not let it finish. I'm testing this as I'm handling all my filter cleaning as before, straight to the highway until complete.

Yup, unless you have a tuner, they all do it to one extent or another. Don't like it, change your oil every 3k miles (yes dump 16+ quarts and put 15 back in - thanks EPA) or get a lawyer. Trust me the oil is much more environmentally and pocket book friendly.

Yep - Ford wonm't even look at a Blackstone report.

I've seen 5% fuel in oil and the service guy just yawns. When you clean the DOF by dumping oil into the cyliners with the exh valves open to raise the exhaust gas temp to 1300F for 20-30 miles somethins' gotta go haywire. And the scorpion eats fuel and urea both.

Gotta love it.

I short stick mine every week and don't notice any increase. 22K on my truck. I don't really pay much attention to the regen issue. If it happens I try to let it run but I don't take it out to finish.

See Sawtooths post... the only other thing to add is that your oil will turn jet black just driving 2 miles after an oil change on these trucks.
