FWIW - 6.4L Option

FWIW - According to Edmunds.com the 6.4L is a $6895 MSRP option ($5723 Invoice).

Did a quick config of a F250 CC LWB 4x4 XLT w/6.4L & 5-sp auto.
Was almost $50k with some other added goodies.

Saw that ~ I thought it was a typo (I thought last year the 6.0L option was around $5300 or $5700) ... asked the order guy and he said No - no typo ... every time I do a config. it keeps coming in under $50k though ~ keeps making me think I'm leaving something off <shakes head> ~ I'm driving myself nuts ... No Navigation and no entertainment system - 250 Lariat 4x4 but I swear I darn near got everything else! LOL

Hubby asked me 4 times if I wanted the navigation system - I kept telling him No!!! Finally I asked him, "Why?!?! Why pay for one?! It works out fine for me when I call you and ask how to get somewhere!" ... Last I saw of him he was banging his head on a wall ...

Re: FWIW - 6.4L Option

I myself don't need the nav stuff. No use for it.

Another thing (unrelated) that I've been noticing latley is that people with the rear DVD systems have them running but there is noone in the back to watch. I see this in the morning driving to work when it's still kinda dark out. What's up with that?

Getting back to the SD's. Almost $60k for a SD? Prices are getting crazy. That engine doesn't have to cost that much in a production vehicle. GM and Dodge too.

Makes me wanna take my '03 and put a Cummins/new trans in it for a lot less.

But they know people will buy.

I don't understand where folks are coming up with $60K invoice numbers. Just priced out a F-450 Pickup with Lariat trim, 6.4L, 5 speed auto, Supplemental heater, Hi Cap tow package, Reverse vehicle aid sensor and about $500 of other misc options and the "X plan pricing came out to $47,659 including FDAF Assessment and delivery.

Nice part of this truck is that Ford thought it out so well for us RV haulers, all I've got to add in aftermarket items is a Fifth wheel hitch, a Transfer Flow fuel tank in the bed, a CB/antenna, an EGT gauge, some minor upgrades to the speaker system and we'll be ready to do some serious traveling.
