Grease Fittings? - Diesel Forum

This is my first HD truck to own. I noticed that there are two grease fittings on the front axels at the wheels on the inner side. I have 24000 miles on my truck. Should I be putting grease in there? If so, what kind, how much and how often? I have a tube of Mobil 1 syn grease.

I am about to go on a 4000-mile road trip pulling a boat and want to make sure I don't have any problems.

Give 'em each a shot or two, no more, that is AFTER you clean the fittings with a rag first. If you feel any resistance or hear a pop you've added enough. Your grease will be fine . . .
