Half Throttle vs. Full Throttle?

This may seem odd...But my truck fills like it pulls harder @ half to 3/4 throttle than it does when I matt it...

For sure from a stnd if I mash the gass it has about 2 seconds of lag before it really starts moving BUT if I give it 1/2 to 3/4 it is ON!!

Any ideas or people having the same issue?

Mine is the same way..and I have heard of others. I think it is built in protection by Ford..so we won't hurt the drivetrain..others think it is turbo lag. I don't think it is a big deal...especially since I am not trying to drag race away from the lights etc. When I am pulling my 5th wheel...I have to take off slow anyways..to avoid the dreaded " drivetrain shudder" that most of us have,

Mine's a stick- and when you go through the gears on it you get better response if you roll the go pedal instead of mashing it like you would a race car like my '73 Torino. It takes awhile to get used to. Do some experimentation with it- I'm sure you'll figure it out.
