Question Hard-Downshifting Torque Shift (TS)

My TS trans is hitting hard when downshifting in Tow Haul mode. I've noticed it on my last two long trips when driving surface streets after hours at highway speed pulling my 14K-lb. 5th wheel RV trailer. Usually, it happens when I'm slowly decelerating to a red light: I start braking, and it hammers the truck on the first or second downshift. The whole truck shakes as the drive train rocks.

Anyone experience this, or have any ideas why the trans thinks it needs to do it?
Thanks....

So does ours, but we notice it the most as we're just about to come to a stop. Hadn't considered the multiple brake applications as a reason. We've also noticed in hilly areas that it doesn't want to upshift easily, either.

Yep, davydee, just as we're coming to a stop. Hits hard. In our case, it's not from multiple applications.

Happens on mine if I use it to come to a complete stop w/TH engaged, especially when I need the brake pedal to complete the stop. Appears to be downshift from 2nd to 1st only.
