heard the 6.4 today

I work in an ACH plant and we make the fuel tanks for the superdutys and they brought a f350 cc lb 4x4 in for us to check out, it is so quit you can't hear it run through the exhaust pipe all you hear is air rushing by. With the hood open its quit enough to talk on a cell phone while hanging over the motor. The guy that brought it in says it gets 16mpg but thats going by the overhead display. The truck had 5000 miles on it. Every thing looked awsome except there is no suport structure in front of the radiators and coolers, if you get in a fender bender you will trash everything and have to be towed away. I still want to order one, can't wait.

Glad to hear it's that quiet. I hope it stays this way this time! (My early '03 6.0L started out quiet too.)

Looks like the aftermarket bull-bar manufacturers will be smiling about the new design, heh heh heh...

So is it as quiet as a duramax? You said the exhuast just sounds like air going by, does it sound cool and can you hear even the faintest sound of the turbos?

Just air no turbo noise no rumble at all even when someone reved it up, but I don't think it makes a difference with no load.
