Unhappy HELP-08 Lost Power but will idle fine

We were driving our 08 F250 6.4 PSD (23000 miles) down interstate today, stopped to eat and about 2 miles after we took off again I had to get off the throttle and when I stepped on it again we lost all power.Truck will idle fine but if you step on it it just runs rough and won't rev up at all, and no turbo. All guages were normal and no check engine light until after I pulled over and shut it off and re-started it.Ended up calling Roadside Assistance and they sent a rollback and took it to the dealer but service dept. was closed for the day.The dealer in Owatonna,Mn was excellent in setting us up with a car to get back home 150 miles away but the truck is still there until they can look at it next week. Any ideas on what the problem could be? We have never had a problem with the truck before this and it always rus great. We had driven it about 100 miles since we last filled tank so the fuel was fine I think.

Mine did the same thing, no power, no boost, but only after hearing a loud "pop" from under the hood.

Rubber hose going to inter cooler blew off.

Had the fifth wheel in tow when it happened. Pulled over and re-attached hose and off we went.

Though your symptoms sound the same as mine, not sure if it was the same thing that caused it.

Good luck.

Thanks for the idea on the hose but I did check that while waiting for the wrecker.I also tried removing the battery cable and see if it would reset computer if it was a computer glitch. That didn't work either.

Got a call from the dealer who it was towed to today and it was a stuck EGR valve. There is a computer upgrade out that takes care of the problem.Looks like I get to spend another 6 hours on the road to go get it tomorrow, but at least the problem was minor.
