Check the sensor in front of the DPF to see if it is bad. Does not cost much.
EGR...valve is probably stuck or electronics to it are bad.

Clear the codes and see what you get.
the P179A I would ignore.

Not really but they are fairly inexpensive to just replace it.

Only thing you can do is check all the electrical connections to ensure they are good.

Can you clear your codes?

Take the cables off the batteries...step on the brakes or turn on the headlights for a few miniutes. See if that will potential reset any of the codes.

then try again.

Look at this one last item...otherwise I am afraid a tow is in order.

Check your fuel cutoff switch. It is located on the passenger side of the dash.

If you open the passenger door, right on the side there is an access door.

The switch is orange I believe. See if that is tripped.

I think you need a code reader capable of clearing the codes. That would help greatly.

Just thought of this...on the passenger side battery there is a jumper. If you put that to the battery it may start that way.

If it does then it is a DPF sensor issue.

1. Vehicle in PARK
2. Parking brake SET
3. Key in the ON position
4. Open hood
5. Near the RH battery, there is a single wire disconnect. It is attached to the battery box. Remove it from the battery box and disconnect it.
6. Touch the end headed towards the starter to the POSITIVE terminal of the battery.
The truck should start. Reconnect the wire, close the hood, and check for codes. You will likely have a code for EGT-13 open circuit, over temp, out of range.
