Angry Hey from Abilene!!

Hi my name is Lindsey and I have a 2008 f-350. I have recently been experiencing problems with the regeneration on my truck and am tired of the dealership telling me it's the norm, so I came to Diesel
Stop! My truck has started blowing mass amounts of white smoke BEFORE and during the first part of regeneration. It has about 46k miles on it and I have had it since august 2009. The truck had 34k miles on it when I bought it and I never had any problems until recently. In the last month I've had my intercooler replaced( which they told me should fix it) and had my belt tensioner bearing replaced because there was a chirp/whiny noise coming from my timing belt. Both the problems are still present. Now the dealer is tellingme that the smoke is normal especialy in cold weather but I'm not buying it. I have never seen one of these trucks do this. Does anybody have an idea of what I'm dealing with??

I havent had any of the problems that you are experiencing, but it definatly doesnt sound normal. If I were you I would bring it to a different dealership for another opinion.

The following link has several mentions of "white smoke" and what might be causing it:
