A real optimist. Watch out chicken little the sky is falling.
They still make Dodge's and Chevrolets --- Oops! I forgot --- they may have leaks or blow up to.

Some if not all have a 911 section.. That isn't used to ask how to change oil.
Lets be just a bit more optimistic...
Ford had the diesel market cornerned for so long that they got complaciant.. The only way GM can compete is by using a Jap diesel and an aftermarket transmission. Both of which have proven to be reliable.. Which if ya think about it, is probably overall good for everyone since we are now sitting at 350/650 instead of 250/505 before GM actually brought some competition.
Can we keep the negativity away... Lets look forward to a good year..
Ya know, most of us piss and moan about our wives, but we can only blaim ourselves. We picked um...

Take a look at your wrist, see the that's right there's a little FORD Blue blood in all of us... Even the JAP Diesel lovers....
I was looking at the Chevy Kodiak and after reading about the number of problems they have versus the slim chance Ford would mess up another motor, I am thinking I will take the chance on Ford.

ZERO. "Some" of you have already begun pissing and moaning about a product that's not even in your driveway yet. I can understand discussing your likes and dislikes about the truck or the engine but to complain at this point is just plain foolishness. Put your asses in the drivers seat for a few thousand miles and THEN come tell us what a piece of crap it is. What a stupid topic.
I agree, let us: "Keep then negativity away... Lets look forward to a good year.."

FYI this was not a complaint or a stab at Ford.
I read this forum most every day and can not belive all the complaining that gets posted. We have 10 Fords and five are
diesel. 3 are 6.0 and just one has had motor trouble and that was due to the hpop but the dealer replaced alot of other parts before finding the problem.I just was posing a question.
FYI(Musclford) you should re think you signature with the slur.
very un- cool

I think I understand where you are coming from in light of the 6.0, uh, "experiment". However, most of us Ford guys are really pulling for a great launch of the new designed 08 SD along with the moderately re-engineered 6.4 engine. All of us Ford guys know that this model is pivotal in a number of respects to Fords financial viability. Ford has been making GREAT trucks for so long, that we want to see a come back, a strong come back. They have really done a great job with design on the 08 from all I can tell and it looks like as usual, it will be a "truck guy's" truck, not a toy in any respect. As to the diesel drive train, well it is wait and see for me, but I think that the gasser models will be Ford bullet proof from the start, very, very strong and well engineered. I don't mind folks criticizing Ford in light of the 6.0, it is deserved, but I for one am going to give them another chance, since I know from the first 1975 F-100 that I owned and still have to the numerous F-150's I have owned to my current 1997 F-350 SRW 7.3 that Ford knows how to make a great truck, I am looking forward to this one, I am looking forward to a rebirth. I think it is going to happen.
The '04 I have now has been an exceptional truck. I wouldn't trade it for any of the previous diesel pu's I've owned, and I have had them since the first 6.2 GM diesel in '82. My plans are to order an F-450 pickup in late spring for a summer delivery.
Ford builds great trucks. The '07 Expedition EL Limited I have is the best driving vehicle I have ever owned. Very quiet, smooth riding and built very tight and rattle-free. You guys that work assembling these trucks have every right to be proud of the product you produce.
