I just had my second regen in about 1000 miles. Was just curious how often other trucks are going through this cycle. I have seen here where some were regen on a daily basis.
I was blowing a fair amount of white smoke, is that normal??

mine seems to start every time I get off the highway and want to shut er down. Seems it happens quite often too. Going to start noting miles and hopefully can give you a better answer later.

I've put 2300 miles on mine in the last few days and no regen yet.

I bought a used 08 350 DRW (was a repo) it had 13,000 when I bought it. I went about 500 miles before my 1st then about 400 miles to the second.
Both times it blew a fair amount of white smoke for about a minute.
I set one of the trip meters to the last event to better determine the frequency.
when mone did it i have never scean any smoke at all but does anyone know why some do it more then others even if the truck does not have any more miles?

I was drying some water spots off yesterday and had it running, it started to Regen (for the second time that I know of) and I tried to wait it out. I gave up idling there after about 12 minutes...how long do they go for a full clean out?
On a side note, what a joke it is that this is supposed to be a cleaner burning engine. Forget the extra Co2 it blows with the high pressure filter and lower mileage, what happens to the soot it's burning, is that converted into pure air? lol
All I care is that it looks cool lol
