How often/miles between regen

I just had my second regen in about 1000 miles. Was just curious how often other trucks are going through this cycle. I have seen here where some were regen on a daily basis.

I was blowing a fair amount of white smoke, is that normal??

BTW I had some Bio in it also.

Re: How often/miles between regen

once at 1500mi. now at 2300 and haven't had any I know of. I didn't get white smoke on first one either.

Do they occur at highway speeds? Maybe I didn't notice one cruiseing at 75

Re: How often/miles between regen

mine seems to start every time I get off the highway and want to shut er down. Seems it happens quite often too. Going to start noting miles and hopefully can give you a better answer later.

Re: How often/miles between regen

I bought a used 08 350 DRW (was a repo) it had 13,000 when I bought it. I went about 500 miles before my 1st then about 400 miles to the second.
Both times it blew a fair amount of white smoke for about a minute.

I set one of the trip meters to the last event to better determine the frequency.

Re: How often/miles between regen

I was drying some water spots off yesterday and had it running, it started to Regen (for the second time that I know of) and I tried to wait it out. I gave up idling there after about 12 minutes...how long do they go for a full clean out?

On a side note, what a joke it is that this is supposed to be a cleaner burning engine. Forget the extra Co2 it blows with the high pressure filter and lower mileage, what happens to the soot it's burning, is that converted into pure air? lol

All I care is that it looks cool lol
