I just want to know where the fuel filters are?

I HATE the under rail fuel filter in the OH 6's The ford engineer must have been on LCD when he thought this up.

Where did the brain surgeons at Ford decide to put the 6.4 filters , inside the fuel tank???

Re: I just want to know where the fuel filters are?

Same exact places as before. The one on the frame at least has a lever and hose nipple now, instead of the stupid plug. And the one up on the engine is bigger - looks like the same size cap as the frame one and the oil filter now.

Re: I just want to know where the fuel filters are?

Unfortunately they are not interchangeable. The fuel lines have changed and the pump output is different than the 6.0L

Re: I just want to know where the fuel filters are?

That sounds about right. They would only sell a few thousand, if you could interchange them with the 6.0.

Re: I just want to know where the fuel filters are?

But can the lever and hose nipple be swapped to the older trucks?

Re: I just want to know where the fuel filters are?

No, the drain is built into the port cover and the port cover is larger so it doesn't fit earlier versions of the HFCM.

Sorry....

And here I thought I'd tried "everything".....

I tried a little pot once, but choked on the handle..... I always like saying that even though, in my youth, one of my hobbies was "recreational pharmacology"....
