Black 2002 7.3 Excursion (sold) - 103k and lots of mods, great truck!
Can only hope the aftermarket comes up with a polished stainless steel that meets EPA tailpipe. While the Ford doesn't look so bad, if it was polished stainless, I think it could look great.

Very plain looking. I know some people hate the way the 6.4's T.P looks, but at least it has some style too it.

One of the big three has got to come up with an F-16 afterburner aperture arrangement. If the dope about flames actually coming out of pipe on Regen are true the opportunity is just too ripe for something like that.........

Yea, I saw one at a local dealer and it looks like a megaphone. Kind of weird looking. The fact that the lmm is basically a lbz, with a dpf though offsets the cruddy looking tailpipe.

The one thing you`all are missing the Duramax puts out more HP and Torque than the Ford 6.4,and GM does not have to remove the cab to work on the engine.
So far the dealership I deal with has 2 08`s with the cabs off one with a oil leak and one is a major repair.
Also from what the tech and service mgr. passed on to me was,for sure the 6.4 will be around for about 5-7 years.
By then Ford will have built their own mfg plant and start building their own diesel engines in INDIA.
This was told to me from my tech and service mgr. @ my dealership.
First the 7.3(gone)then the 6.0(junk,going,gone)then the 6.4(if it works it will be just OK stated by the tech)for 5-7 years, and then start all over trying to make there own.
Ford makes the best truck in my opinion, but they have there heads up there a$$`s on what to do with a diesel engine.
After the dissapointment I have had with my 6.0,it makes me worry and concerned looking at what I have seen so far with the 6.4,and Ford already thinking change with the diesel engine and they have not even had the 6.4 out for what 2 months.(talk about confused)
That strange looking tail pipe on the Duramax is starting to look pretty good to me.
And "yes" I have ordered GMC Durmax, with the new body style.
Did you guys notice how the new GM heavy Duty trucks are finally bulked up as big as a Ford?
The new rigs really dwarf the classic.
I like...
I think I've made my choice.
