My truck started acting weird a couple days ago. It's almost like its choking. I will push the throttle and it kinda chokes and jumps around. 2 days ago it did this for about 5 minutes then was fine and stayed good for the rest of the drive then the next day was fine. Today I let it warm up and I noticed it was idling funny but figured it was the cold 12 degrees and I forgot to plug it in but it started fine? When I started to drive it did the same thing with the hesitation so I took it home and parked it? I only have 54,000 miles on my truck it's an 08 I bought it a few months ago.
Drained the fuel separator, flowed out nicely, added fuel conditioner, plugged it in.
Started it after letting it sit for a little while and still had issues, it started to blow smoke like it was in regen mode then shortly after it went into regen. Seemed to run fine during regen mode except it was building very little boost? Is this normal?
I did some google searches and it seems as though my EGR valve could be bad? How much would this cost to fix? and would I have any chance that its been recalled or under some kind of ford warranty?
im not a 6.4 guy but i thought i saw the words mini max?im assuming thats the min max tuner??????id be willing to bet ford will not warranty anything on your truck, theyre becoming very peticular about this.

This error occurs when voltage of the EGR valve

Stuck...no recall. Will also need the housing as it will probably break upon removal.
I think your tuner is the issue..not cycling the valve enough.

I contacted a dealer. They said typically it cost around $400 to fix including parts and labor. Hopefully someone can chime in on this? Im also trying to contact the dealer I purchased it from (dodge dealer) They signed a 3 month, 3,000 mile warranty and im currently at 2900 miles im sure they will do everything to get out of it but i figure its worth a try?
Well i got the dodge dealer to say they would take a look at it and probably have I contract it out. Now I just have to make sure they pay for it and give me a truck to drive.

Keep us posted on how things go at the dealership, tjmaxx. If you have any questions, just let me know.
So it's at the dealer now should be getting work done on Monday. Now I hate not having my truck, I'm assuming I will be without it for about a week. I'm not willing to keep doing this. So do I cut my losses and return to a Chevy gasser or do I stick it out with this truck? I have a tuner and off-road exhaust ready to be installed. What else would I need to make this thing a better daily driver?
