Job 1 truck?

I think I have a job 1 truck but I don't know how to tell. What are the issues with the job 1 that I should go address with the dealer now?

I have a JOB 1 as well, and have had no major issues in the 33K I've put on it.

What is your date of manufacture? That will tell the job series. I will have to look it up to be accurate but a job1 ran up to Jan 08, then job 2 for a couple of months and then job 3 late winter. Mine is a job 3 mar 08.

Job 2 began around Aug 1 or Sept 1 of 07. Job 3 around Jan 08. All +/- a little.

build date and vin are the easiest. if its built before 8/07 its a job 1, 8/07-12/07 job 2 and the rest are job 3's. If you havent had the venturi t installed i'd recommend it(radiator stuff) but other than that the major differences are options(chrome package, back up camera stuff like that). I've heard from 1 source the later build trucks have a few stronger internal trans pieces. But nothing i'd concern myself over. Also, the job 1 has a different tranny filtration setup

Just minor stuff. It's a GREAT TRUCK. ENJOY!

-external transmission filter; be aware of more frequent trans. oil and filter change interval (30K)
-Job #2 trucks have an air dam, the plastic part below the front bumper that may increase mpg. Do a search on this forum for air dam. I added one, but it's not a big deal.
-radiators have been an issue. Keep a close eye on your radiator fluid level.

The only thing I can think of to address with the dealer is to make sure you have the most up to date program, and any recalls/TSB (technical service bulletins) and the like. And get the radiator pressure tested. They should add a venturi T valve to keep the pressure in check.

Hope this helps. Others here are way more on top of this than me and will jump in I'm sure!
