I went to the International Lawn, Garden and Power Equipment Expo in Louisville, KY this weekend and Ford brought a 2008 Red F-450 with a dump bed. All I can say is, wow. The exterior is beautiful. For anyone who has doubts about the interior, once you sit in it they should go away, as it is great looking and feeling. The hood may as well be sealed shut, as there was no room for working on the motor. It was jam packed in there. When asked how you're supposed to work on it, a Ford Rep jokingly (atleast I hope so...) said, "You take the cab off." Another rep did offer up that we should see 450's with beds on lots as early as late January. All in all, seeing it in person only made me love the truck more. As I posted on another thread, the rep said the 6.4 should cost about $2k more than the 6.0. He also said Dodge has put their 6.7 as being almost $5k more than the 5.9 and attributed the increases to the emissions rules. I have pics, and I will post them as soon as I get them off the camera.

Cool, get the pics up. Glad they opened the hood for ya!
Nope, doubt he was kidding on taking the cab off that's how they doos it!!!

Thanks Cory cant wait for the pics. They better get the Superduty plant in high gear. There going to be selling a lot off them.

No problem on the getting the plant rolling. New trim shop is broke in,ready to roll.
We are way ahead of getting numbers out with this new setup compared to the 98 launch.
We run around 82 units an hour, but sometimes as fast as 85. Have heard we can run faster if needed.
So order away men,you order and we will build'em.
Like the guys on Flight 93 said,LETS ROLL!
Just got finished looking at the dodge website, the 6.7 is just bout 500 dollars more than the 5.9, but the 6 speed transmission is 1200 more than the previous model. So it looks like the 6.7 will be about 2k more than the 5.9. As always the dealers and reps don't know jack about what they are talking about, they just throw numbers out there that sound good for them, this includes all the auto makers....

Do you mean the option price of $5555 for the 2007 3500 Chassis/cab?
$5555 is the 2006 option price for the 5.9 ($5605 for 2007). I'm not sure that Dodge has updated its website yet for the 6.7.
This all costs money:

Enhancing diesel-powered performance of 2007 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty trucks is an electronically-controlled Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT), which precisely matches boost pressure with the engine's needs. The 6.7-liter engine's VGT utilizes 16 fixed vanes and a sliding yoke, providing variable geometry, as well as an electric valve. The VGT produces optimum combustion control, reduced emissions and a quiet and lag-free throttle response.
Decreasing NOx emissions is a next-generation cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system. The Cummins 6.7-liter engine's EGR system is water cooled, with the air reintroduced into the intake system, keeping turbo and intercooler components clean, which increases the engine's durability.
Within the 6.7-liter Dodge Ram Heavy Duty exhaust system, reducing particulate matter is achieved through a self-cleaning Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).

You could be right, but I think that the new engines (6.4, 6.6 and 6.7) are going to be a lot more than an extra $500. From what I have read, more like the $2k-$3k range.
This is probably old news but a Dodge Rep said the new 6 speed auto will only be available with the 3500 chassis cab config. Like someone else pointed out though, Reps are known to be wrong...

Just priced up a couple 07 dodges on their website. A 2500 pickup costs $5605 for the 5.9, only diesel available right now.
The 3500 chassis/cab has the 6.7 costing $5555. Thats cheaper than the current 5.9. I only hope they offer this version in the pickup and not a more powerful one costing more. The chassis cab 6.7 is rated at 325 hp and 610 ft/lbs. The pickup version is rumoured to be alot more. Offering both engines in the pickup would be ideal. A cheaper more fuel efficiant version as well as a more expensive H.O. version.

The 2500 and 3500 will get the 6.7 rated @ 350/650 with the 68re tranny. the cab and chassis will get the 6.7 rated at 305/610 with the aisin tranny. I don't know why chrysler did this but it has been confirmed.
