Lose cruise control on regen?

I have been losing my cruise control when on highway, along with loss of power and using tons of fuel. My dealer told me it's just in regen, everyone loses cruise when in regen?

You should not loose cruise due to a regen. Loss of fuel, yes . Loss of power, yes, if you have an older program that limits boost to 20 psi during regen (few have the flash that eliminates this I would guess).

I had the cruise set at 65 the other day and I noticed that I was in regen because the mileage went down by 0.5 MPG, then started climbing back up about 15-20 minutes later. I have a job 1 truck with only the flame thrower reflash. I don't have the reflash that puts the regen message in my dash display. Didn't notice any power loss or speed drop.

Had the same issue last weekend pulling a baler back from Burlington, Colorado on my flatbed. Don't know if I was in regen mode but it seemed like every little hill I hit, I had a major loss in power and the cruise quit?

We weighed the baler on the scales and it almost tipped 11K pounds.
So, plus the weight of the flatbed and the truck, it was probably just too much of a load? to continue to use the cruise control? I'm talking eastern Colorado here, the flatlands! I can understand it not working from the foothills back West to the Mountains with 6% grades but out on the plains?
Hopefully the pic will upload of the load I'm talking about.....

I was a little disappointed in the loss of power and overall towing experience?
Maybe need to bring the rig into the dealer for a reflash? Any of you that are hauling have an issue like this too?

Also, I averaged about 8.8 MPG round trip.
I can understand that with that kind of load though....

Still enjoying this truck over my 6.0 though!
Have a great weekend fellow PSD'ers
Cheers from the Colorado Rockies
Leo

Just came back from a trip with my 15k toyhauler. Set cruise, regen did happen (have Edge Insight), only difference was noise from engine. Other than that, no loss of cruise or noticable power. Job 3 with factory flash. I get message in display and boost climbs above 20 while in regen.

Btw, real pleasure towing with the 6.4 compared to the 6.0.

when my 08-450 regened on Saturday it made the whole truck shake like someone bumped me from the rear end. Anyone else notice this?
