Thumbs down loud Boom

I have a Job 1 2008 F 350 ps We just got it back from the shop on thursday for a woooing sound which they said it was a coolant pump and they replaced it.
We drove it very minamal on friday and saturday ,on sunday morning my wife went to work and heard a loud explosion is how she described it the engine light came on and the truck had no turbo gage reading and a loud suction noise ,the truck would rev up but only go about 30 mph and rpms were about 3000 rpms with it floored , and the transmission was not shifting when it was supposed to .
any Ideas of what this could be ?

what would cause this to happen ,and would this be a rubber connection sleeve to a alluminum pipe and the other side connected to what looks like a radiator and would this cause the engine lite to go on trans not to shift and turbo gage not to work, also where can I find some info on whats under the hood something that describes all componants thats under hood ie; what and where is the egr what it looks like ,the turbos, intercooler and so on and what they do ,is there such a book and where can i find it .

Yep. I was going to say that when they replaced your coolant pump, they probably just left one of the hoses loose during reassembly.
