Last thread kind of trailed off track... Ford is saying 2-3 weeks on my truck but they don't sound to sure. I didn't plan on selling my 05 in 2 days and need a truck sitting in my garage soon. What are the latest developements or does someone know anything about how production is going?? Please convince me not to cancel my order and go else where like a LBZ [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif[/img]

I ordered my F-250 08 Super Duty on 12/30/07. It was to be delivered the first week of March. I called to check status and was told it would start assembly on 3/12.......I called on 3/13 to see if it started and was now given an assembly roll date of 3/19.......Not a happy man since I sold my 1994 Powerstroke in anticipation of my new truck arriving.......I assume the delay is due to the International Motor situation. I will post back once I call on Monday to see if in fact the process has started.
That's why we didn't order, but had the salesman run a search to see what was available. It did take him 20+ phone calls, but he was persistant enough that he found one for us. He earned his money!

I told my salesperson if the wheels are not rolling on the assembly line this Monday as promised I am going to another dealer to search inventory. I ordered just about every feature possible so it will be worth the wait, but this is getting ridiculous.

What's that going to prove? The next dealer will have to make phone calls to find one just like your current dealer will have to do if you want to find one on a lot. There aren't many out there, I've only seen one driving on the road, and 2 XL's and 1 lariat at a dealer. And that's keeping an eye out at 5 dealers. You threatening to go somewhere else will definitely not make your truck come any quicker, it's out of the dealer's control at this point.
There was a hold for QC that has been stated, some trucks have been built and their buyers are upset that the trucks are just sitting there. It's also been said some options have been holding back build dates. What did you order? Some said they have not built any 350 DRW yet, just srw's and 450's.
F-250 King Ranch with almost every option available. Standard rear wheels.......In North Texas I see them all over the roads and my dealer has about 10 on the lot but not the color I chose or not with all the options I picked. I am just venting since I have been pushed back and I do understand the situation with the engines being held for shipment.....to make matters worse I sold my 1994 Power Stroke last week and am borrowing a friends Dodge!!! Now you see why I am anxious :-)
Have your sales guy search if he wants the business. Mine was able to find the FX4 I was planning to order (with a couple of added options) which saved a lot of waiting. There are a ton of '08's them in the TX area.

Ford doesn't make promises that specific. The build date is the week of, not the day of. If your build date is 3-19-07, it means the truck is scheduled for the week of 3-19.
Ford has announced that the plant is back at full production because a judge made International ship engines, and also made Ford pay part of what International says is owed to them. We haven't heard the end of this, but at least trucks are being built again.

If you live anywhere near Anson, Texas about 20 miles north of
Abilene, I saw about twenty of them on the lot. Including two 450's! both white. a lot of 250's..There was at least one 350, but alas I did not notice if it was a dually. I passe by the front fender looking for the 450s.

We have built a tons of 350 DRW's. We have run nothing but diesels since navistar started shipping engines. Yes a 100% diesel mix for now.
