New 2008 Ford F-250 4X4 King Ranch Diesel

I'm considering buying this new truck, but been hearing alot of negative comments on the 6.4 diesel engine. Also can anyone tell me the city and highway mileage on this truck or if someone has this type of truck what are you getting? Thanks

I was in the same position as you. I bought a 2002 with a 7.3 because I did not want to be a Guinea pig. However I cannot believe { or want to believe } that ford will mess up again. Go ahead and test drive it. I did and just ordered one.

Re: New 2008 Ford F-250 4X4 King Ranch Diesel

I have a 450 king with a 4.88 rear, love the truck, mostly drive it with no load or trailer. If you drive it easy your're looking like 10-11 MPG. I drive it pretty hard and am getting roughly 9 MPG. Thats per the computer which some guys on here say it may be off by 1 MPG or so...

Same here. I have a great 02 F250 right now but have to get a crewcab. I drove the 08 and loved it. Mine should be in next week.

The only negative comments you hear are from guys who don't own one. Spend some time reviewing this site and ones for the other brands. Take everything with a grain of salt. From what I've read, most of the owners so far have had good reviews of the 6.4.

The whole flamethrower thing was on 3 trucks out of like 38,000. It's been blown out of proportion, fixed, and forgotten.

Re: New 2008 Ford F-250 4X4 King Ranch Diesel

Highway mileage on my 08 F-350 3.72 4x4 with 2600 miles on the odometer averaged 15.6 with speeds between 70-80 and a 900 mile trip last weekend over numerous mountain ranges between Puyallup WA and SLC. Local mileage on mine after the trip is averaging 14.3 with 50/50 split on highway/city driving..... Absolutely love the truck, power and engine/trans combo are awesome and truck has been flawless.

Re: New 2008 Ford F-250 4X4 King Ranch Diesel

Eveyone's milage is so variable. Depends on driving habits. Some say their 08 gets 18, some say 10. Some say their 6.0 gets 12, others say 20, mine gets 14.5. I'd say it's no better or worse than any other brand. If another brand was continuously better then we'd see more sales of another brand.

I test drove an 08 KR CC 6.4 this weekend. There is no competition. period.

How do you like your Pioneer navagation system? Where did you mount your camera and how do you like your blue tooth?
