Ok the people I work for just wrote a check (must be nice) for this new truck. What should they be watching out for? I told him already this truck needs to work so using it as the grocery getter all the time will cause problems

should have about a 1K break in period, vary the speed, no WOT or towing, then hook up something and go for a ride, take it for about a 100 mile tow to get it broke in some.

Check the fluids often, I do once a week, do the severe maint sch, oil changes at 5K and fuel filters around 10K.

These trucks run best working and towing. On the hwy. Watch the seams around the radiator and the degas bottle level. Mine has been ok but others have had a leak in the seams.

Learn the short stick method to check the oil level and learn where yours resides.

Regen's in town are not good so if you can when it comes up run it till it completes, if you have to shut it down that is fine, just don't do that all the time and know that when you start it back up as soon as it is up to temps it will probably what to regen again.
