New truck 4500 mile trip. no problems....... - Diesel Forum

I just return from a 4500 mile hunting trip... Indiana to North Dakota...then to Idaho... no problems.......... I had no problems finding fuel... even though in a mountain town somewhere in ID... @ 3.63 a gallon... they still had the fuel I needed......... as far as fuel milage i got around 15 in the flat lands and 12.9 in the mountains....... but hay it is a F350... I come close to running out of fuel in Mountana....... but that was my fault........ but I did find if I keep the rpm under 2000 was my best milage.... I had a lot of postive things said about my truck it is a eye catcher......... One negative thing said by some uppey in Idaho......... (gas hog).......... response........(F---- You lady)........ anyway next trip it to SD for some more great hunting........ Driveing this thing is a real pleasure..... thanks FORD for a great product.....

what is your set up? Dually? rear end gears?

Good looking truck. I'm originally from southern Indiana - now in New York. Sure do miss the hunting there compared to here. Enjoy both.
