The results from Blackstone can be fairly comprehensive and would involve alot of typing. What were the results of your last oil test? Post them and maybe he will have something to go by.

Sorry, it takes me so long to respond. I have difficulty typing and seeing small type. I can read better if it is in caps, so I'm not shouting, just trying to see what I type.
2004 VW Golf TDI - Automatic, 100 HP Diesel gets 42 MPG around town. XM Satellite Radio
2001 Monaco Knight - 265 HP Cummins gets 12.5 MPG towing the TDI
We know that this type of PSD has had some fuel system problems but we didn't find any diesel fuel in this sample. Your diesel is going through wear-in and that's why most of the wear metals were higher than average. It's from new parts wearing-in. Those numbers will drop as the engine matures. So will silicon, which comes from lubes and sealers used during assembly. So will potassium, which is from an anti-corrosion spray used on parts prior to assembly. We suggest changing this oil to get rid of excess metals that make the oil abrasive. Check back in ~5K miles.
That was with just under 5000 miles on my rig, and the day before I changed my oil.
I do not know what the numbers mean, but would like to learn.
I am more than willing to post them if someone can tell me how to convert a .pdf file into something I can take my name and address off of. I am going to "hop" over to the "Bob oil guy" site and see if there is something on it there.

Thanks for the report. Sounds like everything is normal with your engine. As for the numbers, there should be a normal range and then what they got on your test. Blackstone would have told you if anything was out of the normal range.
Thank you JD.
That was very much appreciated
SUPER nice truck by the way!!!!
That is not the Tennessee mountain devide in one of your photos by chance is it?~Mike~

Seapig53, I believe the pic you may be referring to was taken on 93 between Banff and Jasper, Alberta. If not that one, the others were in Glacier Ntl Park.
