Is the oil and fuel filters going to be the same as a 6.0?

Just like it says. Or are they going to make new ones to make money and it will take someone a while to make them(aftermarket)?

Re: Is the oil and fuel filters going to be the same as a 6.0?

Oil is absolutely going to a new API CJ-4 spec; same for all 2007 diesels equipped with DPF/EGR. The DPF is sensitive to ash so the lube oil additive package was reworked. EGR also introduces more soot into the lube oil so new formulations are required to keep this suspended.

Do not know about filters.

The oil filter is the same (FL2016 motorcraft). The fuel filters are still in process (packaging, part numbers and pricing).
The new spec CJ4 is to start shipping the week of Dec. 18th.
I have my Ford Motorcraft Rep. telling me this as I type, so this info is straight out of the Memphis District office.
