Oil leak

I noticed a wet spot under my truck and checked it out. It is coming from the bell housing. Now my question is could this be a minor leak up top like on my 7.3L or is this my rear main?
I took it to my ford dealership so I hopefully will have word back today. I had to push to get the truck in this week though. They wanted to make me an appointment for 2 weeks from now. They only have 2 diesel techs here and they can't keep up since this is a industry town with lots of trucks.
I don't mind stuff breaking but I want it fixed reasonably quickly.

Re: Oil leak

I got the truck back. They say there is a chance that it is residual leakage from assembly. Whatever that means, that would be great news. However they cleaned it all up very thoroughly and put two packs of dye in the oil. I am taking it back in two weeks for them to check again.
