Passenger side IC pipe

Has anyone looked at the IC pipe on the passenger side of the truck where it passes by the radiator and into the engine compartment? Man! Talking about a bad design. If you haven't noticed this, you need to go out side and take a look! Anybody know of a replacement for this? I'm sure there is some gains that can be had. This is a super restriction in air flow IMHO.

I noticed that myself. I'm waiting for the aftermarket to come out with something, but the clearance aroung the tube isn't very much. I think you'd have to cut part of the bulkhead away to put a bigger tube in. I agree that this is a poor design, but how much of a restriction it causes I don't know. I can't believe Ford would develop the sequential turbos to restrict boost with this design. Maybe it looks worse than it is?

If an intake elbow on a 6.0 can gain 10 hp/tq, then this is worse than it looks. The flattened part is bad enough, but that dent in the side of the flat part chokes it down to nothing.
