Ya, hopefully while you are testing the new one out it doesn't blow out the HPOP or an injector like the 6.0L...
frinkin ugly as could be i was hoping that the camo's were wrong guess not. and quite disapointed seeing still a five speed auto and only 650lbs of TQ but i do like the f-450 since i do tow more then i drive it. i know ford will also have a display at the AQHA congress in 2 weeks for 2 weeks so il check them out there but sinc i returned my 2005 ive been looking at the chevy's but il look but UGLY front end UGLY UGLY and a bit disappointed in the drivetrain
on a note you guys going to the texas debut can you get some fuel mileage figures hope there btter then the 6.0L which they also told us was supposed to be better then the 7.3L didnt happen but for many trailer guys in the world the fuel mileage is one of the keys let us know thxs. do like the weight ratings though those are nice hope the brakes can stop that much

That's like saying "The new Mustang can tow 1,000 more pounds than the last one."
Big deal.

when are they going to be at Congress? I'll be there pretty much the whole time and would like to know when I can take a look at the next generation .

Annual U.S. diesel truck registrations have increased to more than 500,000 a year from about 400,000 in 2001. Ford has long been the industry leader, selling 1.3 million diesel-powered F-Series pickups in the United States since 2001 alone.

My math may be off, but that looks to me to be only a 47% share.

Every 2008 Super Duty frame now has a new front stub designed with safety in mind.

Probably because Federal crash test requirements are increased in 2007. Dodge took care of this in 2006.

The new engine benefits from an innovative development process designed to more accurately reflect how Super Duty customers use their vehicles every day. The team began by collecting real-world data from working Super Duty commercial customers, tracking their daily duty cycles. That data was used to develop durability tests that more closely represented real-world use. To better assure durability, the tests were conducted using the most extreme and abusive conditions and run to five-times the life cycle that the hardest-working truck would ever experience.
“By the time we launch this vehicle,” said Dan Davidson, Powertrain supervisor, “the engine will have seen more than 10 million equivalent miles of testing both on the dyno and in test vehicles.”

Didn't Ford say a lot of the same things when it introduced the 6.0 in 2002?
