Re: radiator sprung leak

Was it more of a "frog peeing on your hand when you pick it up" or a "horse peeing after a long visit to the trough?"

Just trying to visualize this whole thing...

Nate since you tend to jump on all 6.4 issues with all four of your feet, I am surprised you didn't ask if it was like the "cow and the flat rock"!!

Re: radiator sprung leak

i've seen a few in at my dealer/truck center getting new radiators also...

and the few i saw in a pile on the side had cracks in the passanger side tank.
i hope they are replacing them with a revised tank design.

Re: radiator sprung leak

I wonder if they Radiators were manufactured in Mexico or Asia...does anyone know?? I am curious to see if they outsourced overseas or Mexico for them...I'd bet a dollar and seventeen cents.

Surely this wouldn't be an American quality issue I would hope.

Re: radiator sprung leak

Just replaced the radiator in my 90 F350. Got the radiator from radiators .com . $280 delivered. Next day delivery from Romulus Mich. The box said a Visteon product made in Mexico. Visteon was a sub of Ford but not anymore, they do still supply Ford with products. Sure hope mine is OK. Replacing engine 7.3 IDI just now due to cavitation 300,000+ miles on it. Only had 75 mi. on rad before engine went down.

Re: radiator sprung leak

Does this radiator issue possibly have anything to do with the fact that they are mounted on an angle? I'm just asking an honest question. I was a little skeptical when I looked under the hood and read about it.

What's the build on these leakers? Job 1 or 2?

Let's keep track. What mileage?
