Yes keep us updated, my truck is scheduled to go in tomorrow for the fuel tank recall and the computer update for MPG. Will also keep you all informed

the service advisor looked up the recall 08T01 and said there was new info on it BUT it did not involve my truck (a job-3, built 4-10-08)......yet.
a ford mechanic, who is an administrator on another turbo diesel forum, said that today he will be installing 20+ kits on the radiators of trucks that are currently in stock at his dealership.....
why would they be fixing trucks that haven't even been sold yet????
doesn't mention that I'm affected yet (Job 1). Does anybody have the actual text of the recall and/or TSB?

08T01 is a SSI (Special Service Instruction), not a recall (at this time). The main focus of the SSI at this time is to deal with trucks that are currently in dealers stock. There has been no mention of current owner notification at this time...

Its only affects trucks built from Job 1 through May 15, 2008. For VIN's that this affects the owners should be getting letters in the mail.
Wouldn't that be about 90% of the 08 Super Duty trucks? I assume that by now, they are no longer building 08's. My dealer has my truck now and told me that there is nothing he can do yet.
