I'll give that a shot on my next highway trip and see what happens. Thanks for the tip.

Sheepman, my truck was built 01/08. When I first got my truck the message would show up for a few seconds but lately it's been there during the whole regen process. We just got back from a 10-day trip to the Black Hills and I had 5 regens both pulling and not pulling and the message stayed on the entire time of the regen process (kinda of nice cause at least I know when it starts & finishes). My truck can't be the only one that shows the "cleaning exhaust filter" message during the duration of the regen process can it????

My truck's a job 3 and it does not do that. It's on for a few seconds and then goes off.

Same Here: My truck is a job 3 and it only stays on for a few seconds also. I have 3000 miles on the truck and I've only seen that message twice and that was last week.

Hi Folks: With an update on a Regen and Mileage data. This weekend I took a camping trip pulling a 12,000 pound, 5th wheel (for the first time) with four adults into Michigan. As for the Regen, I was 55 miles into a 96 mile trip to the camp ground and the TDC said that it’s cleaning the exhaust system and stayed on for 22 miles and then on the TDC it said that it was done it’s cleaning and went back to normal display. Below is hand calculated data, the first tank is the MPG to the camp ground, the second tank is the MPG for a 157.5 mile round trip without the trailer from the camp ground and back. And the last tank is the MPG back home from the camp ground. I had the cruise set for 62 MPH, 95% of the time for all tanks. And the last two tanks I used cetane additive. I hope someone finds this useful.....MPD56

1st Tank was 101.9 Miles, 11.78Gals,$56.40 = 8.64MPG U.S.
2nd Tank was 157.5 Miles, 8.94Gals, $42.85 = 17.62MPG U.S.(Cetane Additive)
3rd Tank was 96.4 Miles, 9.24Gals, $51.12 = 11.09MPG U.S.(Cetane Additve)

SORRY my Excel speadsheet didin't work on this by using cut and paste.
