regen question
Hey guys
I'm sure this has been hashed out before here, but I'm just trying to get a feel for exactly what happens during the regen process? Also, what happens if the process starts and you are turning off the vehicle or trying to leave to go some place? Just some basic questions around this. My new truck has not arrived yet, but some general comments would be appreciated. I am always making short trips or stops during the week and usually taking longer trips with my family over the weekends to our ranch. Just curious what happens if I don't let the regen do it's thing for one reason or another?
Any harm in stopping in mid cycle?
Also, we obviously have dry grass up at our ranch from time to time. Can the regen possibly start a fire if the grass is near the area of the pipe? I'm sure if you get a flameout that pretty much would spark up anything, but under a normal regen do I need to worry?
Thanks!
Steve
