Shifting my 6 spd

Aloha Everyone,
I have a 08 350 reg cab 4X4 long box, ever since I've had it 4-20-07 I get trouble shifting from time to time. When it is acting up I can't get 2nd gear...have to bypass & go to 3rd then back to 2nd. Only have 5600 miles on it...oh yea of course it is the 6.4. I have been lurking around here for a month or so & dicided to finally join in. Does any one have this problem??
Has any one ever heard of this??? I also have a funny knocking noise at times in park with clutch out...to make it stop I just push in clutch several times & it is gone. I have been tryen to get it in the shop...called then in Aug & still waiting for app.
Any thoughts on this would help.
Thanks,
Don

Re: Shifting my 6 spd

i'd find a different shop. if you know of an issue, and fail to take care of it, they can deny warranty claims. the knocking at idle kind of sounds like a Dual mass flywheel, but i dont know if the new trucks have them

Re: Shifting my 6 spd

I'd love to take it to a diff shop, but here in Hawaii we only have 2 shops on our island. Both shops are owned by the same person So we don't have choices here. I have talked to them 2 times about my problems & asked for them to meke sure it goes down on my file. For now all I can do is wait...that is why I was asking if anyone has any info about this. I can be ready to fight better if tihs is more than just a random problem.
Thanks,Don

Re: Shifting my 6 spd

My guess is the Throw out bearing, might be making the noise as well as causing the clutch to drag a bit, would def make the shifts more difficult.
