Snow/grille cover

I had my '08 out Friday in a blizzard- no problem with the air cleaner freezing up as I have heard here in the past. The grille looked like a glazed donut, and no problems??? I tried to order a grille cover from my dealer last week, he doesn't know what I'm talking about. They come stock on trucks sold in the northern US and Canada don't they?

I don't know the tsb # but I got my cover a couple weeks ago, you get a new air filter and a new filterminder, I think it sets the alarm sooner. Tell them your filter turned into a block of ice to get the filter. If your in a heavy wet snow not much gets through, its when snow is powdery that it clogs the filter. My truck never tripped the minder but the filter was only pulling air through the rubber hose in the engine compartment, the rest of the filter was solid ice, it weighed about 10#s.

Not sure if this will cover enough of the openings. Does the snow come in around the light?
