Soft clunking sound

This is my first post and I hope I can clearly explain my issue. I just purchased a used 2008 F350 6.4L. About a week after I bought it I had the radiator replaced (warranty). Since that time (a week ago) I hear a mild clunking sound coming from what seems to be the right rear. It almost sounds like something is moving in the bed. The bed is empty and the sound happens while standing still with the engine running and while moving...only occasionally. It started on the way home from the dealer aftyer having the radiator replaced. I have not mentioned this to the dealer yet, as I would like to get an idea of what is causing it. It may be coming from the exhaust pipe area...possibly. I would greatly appreciate any information I can get. Thanks in advance for the help.
This is my second PowerStroke. My first was a 1997 7.3L. I had nothing but great luck with that truck (200,000 miles). I hope this will be as good.

Did an animal make a home? Only thing that comes to minds since nothing is in the right rear.

Definately not an animal. It started immediately after the radiator was changed. It happens when the engine is running whether moving or not. Could it have something to do with the exhaust system?

I too have the same clunking noise. I have 1200 miles on my truck and just towed a #9000 TT for 400 miles and can't figure out the popping. Mine only does it when taking off. Any ideas?

TPH sounds like you could have a universal or some other drivetrain related issue such as a sticking rear caliper. Sounds like you guys need a friend to stand next to the truck as you start off and listen. Other than that climb under and check to see if the exhaust is knocking on something.

I know of two 08s that also have a clunking problem, we've yet to figure it out.

Make sure the rubber isolator on the bottom of the radiator support is there. It cushions the radiator against the frame. I've seen a few missing after radiator replacement, they can fall off while installing the radiator and a lazy tech might not catch it.

The rubber isolator on the radiator sounds very plausable and it is consistent with the kind of noise I am hearing. I will check it out and get back to the forum. By the way, I have no problems with the way it runs or drives (other than the annoying noise).

Thanks
