Sometimes I lose my cruise control

Just random times I will be cruising and go to hit my cruise and nothing, no little light on dash or nothing. And I'm sure it's not my fault, I know how to set it properly.

Are you talking about resume? In my pickup up you have to be going pretty close to the same speed your cruise is set at for resume to work.

Since mine is a stick, I have to be pretty close to the original speed to hit resume. However, I have read on a previous post that this truck will accelerate at an alarming rate if resume is hit at a lower speed. I'd have to say something is wrong with yours based on this- or- something was wrong with theirs.

My 450 Automatic does that. Scared the poop out of me the first time I hit the resume button and was about 10 MPH shy of the cruising speed. Cruise control reacts totally different than our 99.5 F-450.

jonny55555, I would agree with torino73, if you haven't mistakenly hit the cruise off button, the memory chip in the cruise control should bring up the original cruise speed you set until you shut the engine down or select a new cruise speed.
