I just hope they use the same bolts that they show on the F150 TV commercial I can see me busting that off with a loader bucket.

Re: that is a sweet heffer step on the tailgate!!!!!

on a serious note (almost), did anyone notice or know if the sheet metal is the same for the tailgate - i.e. swapping a new tailgate onto older PSDs?

i sure would like that "heffer step" but don't want to have to buy a new truck to get one

Re: that is a sweet heffer step on the tailgate!!!!!

Why not throw a small step ladder in the back of your truck? I'm sure it will be cheaper than a new heffer approved tailgate. I'll bet it's about $750 from the dealer.

I'm sorry maam, but you are over the DOT approved rating of my truck. I'd love to take you home, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be legal.

Yeah, it's been tested to a whole 300 pounds. Whoopie. Not that I need it, but if I am carrying a bag or two of feed or salt up to the bulkhead, I'm outta luck. I'll have to set 'em down.

The New Tailgate will fit any 99+ Super Duty Trucks.

This was confirmed by the Body Shop Manager of KTP at the Texas State Fair.

Here is another pic.

http://www.northtexaspowerstrokes.co....php?pos=-6039

It was also confirmed that it will hold up to 500 lbs and has been tested.

I got the guy to let me try it and he said go right ahead, seemed pretty firm to me.

And I ain't no little guy

Re: that is a sweet heffer step on the tailgate!!!!!

Sorry, Folks... the grab handrail is tested to 300 pounds, and the step to 1,000 pounds. See the first release of information prior to the Texas Fair. That's where I read it.

Smoke.
