Local lot recieved its first FOR SALE stripped dwn xl reg cab with the 6.4 today. Guess what it didnt come with an invoice. Ford is holding them back right now untill they are ready. The lot is not allowed to do anything with it untill theyget the invoice technically not thiers till that point IE no insurance.
Soon as the invoice comes in i am going for a test drive!!

Well, the original poster is in Kentucky, so it's at least feasible there's one sitting there pending some paperwork; it wouldn't have teken a "shipment" in the usual sense to get it there...

I spotted at my local lot on the top shelf of a hauler thier was 4 of em. Talked to a guy in the know and he said he was taking 3 to detroit and one was going to a lot about 20 miles from me. Called thelot 20 miles from me a hour or two later and they said they had it but they couldnt touch it yet.

KTP's lot had a ton of them the Friday before Christmas. On Christmas Eve we drove back by there and they had been sent from the lot to the shipping yard at least. It is entirely possible (likely) that he is telling the truth. I parked next to and walked around a F-250 King Ranch. It is nice, but man those headlights will take some getting used to. All in all, more of a refresh with a new diesel / interior than a new design. Maybe 2010 will hold all new sheetmetal.

There were pics on here of a white XL...headlights looked really nasty...totally killed the look of the truck. I looked but had no luck using the search button. Headlights looked like something off a Chevy Van... [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif[/img] Old sealed beam type.
My guess is that the fleet guys will be the ONLY ones buying them...
