mine is peeled at the bottom, since it is not steel I don't worry about it. My intercooler works perfect so I would not want to mess with a replacement either.

Senix,

That was my feeling too but, I started thinking because of where it was pealing from (the lower right hand side) where the inlet is I might have a heating problem.

The flaking felt a plastic coating that has bubbled do to heat, so I had the Dealer check it, I just don’t want to get stuck on the road with a intercooler problem.

My intercooler was also peeling at the bottom and there is a wire loom that runs under the intercooler that was not tied down properly, it was touching the bottom of the cooler, it was starting to melt which may be your plastic feel. Check all along the bottom of the cooler to make sure the wire loom is securly tied down and not touching the cooler.

Mine peeled a long time ago.... just peeled everything I could, then taped everything off, and hit it with some rustoleum. It sounds ghetto, but it came out looking great and never peeled again.

Does this TSB address the peeling? What does it address?

I noticed mine peeled too. It annoys the heck out of me, but I don't want a new intercooler just because of it. It's my first one and I haven't had any problems with it!! :-)

Oh wow - the last thing I want is anyone with a can of spray paint near my truck. Jeez, they don't even remove the CAC to paint it?

it is pretty scary. Not to mention that if the cooler isnt steamed out to remove lodged dirt from the cooling fins and you just paint over it......... dunno if thats such a great idea! But you cant expect much from blue diamond anyways.

any tsb help in the future lemme know.
