TSB reflash number?

I have seen many posts ref a reflash, did anyone ever come up with a TSB number? My local Ford dealer hasn't a clue. Also I read that some that had the reflash started to see the REGEN come more often after several 1,000 miles. Thinking of getting it done but can't stomach making things worse then they are.
Any feedback would be appreciated..

Could you elaborate on TSB 08-10-2? I can't find it online yet...

Thanks!

Could someone post a link to the TSG Flash documentation?

My new 2008 F250 now has 1700 miles on it, 3.55 with 18" wheels Crew Cab.

After initially getting 15 to 17 mpg on my first few tanks, on the last 2 tanks, I have sunk to a miserable average of 12.5 mpg without my driving mix or habits changing.

Without question, Ford has a SERIOUS issue with the fuel programming on the 6.4l. My build date is early March 2008 job 3.

I NEVER got below 16 mpg on my 2005 6.0 and sometimes even up to 21 on highway driving.

I am also interested in this. I took my truck in because the #1 injector dropped out and was hoping to get the latest calibration. The tech told me there was only one update and that was for the TCM. That doesn't seem correct to me.

Comparing mileage figures on an '08 to most anything on/before '07 is like comparing the mileage on a dumptruck to a motorcycle! If you were to put all of the emission control stuff the new ones have on the older ones, you can bet the mileage will be worse.

If you want to play, you have to pay!

I'd rather not pay so much though, I'll give you that, especially since Diesel was $5.21 this morning!

Well I was at my dealership yesterday and he told me that Ford was trying to get a Flash out by the end of May for the fuel milage issue. I certainly hope they do, the price of Diesel is outragous. It used to be cheaper than gas but now......

Job 1 - Before the first retooling - June 30,2007
Then they start Job 2. I recall its 6 months for each job. In between they retool factory, make updates and some changes to the trucks. This keeps increasing untill a new model is introduced - Job 3 - Job 4 - ect.

Mine was built July 23rd and it's a Job #1. I think Job #2 is anything built after JULY 30th.

I was at the dealership last week and service writer said there would be a flash out for fuel mileage soon. I asked how soon and he said he didn't know they just said soon.

I can't imagine that they can do anything much at all. It probably is properganda so they can sell the new ones off the lots that are backing up bad. i.e. Salesman: Oh they have a new flash out to improve mileage. Customer: O.K. then I'll buy it. And sell my 02.
