Well I am taking my truck back to the dealer for the reprogramming due to the regeneration high idle not kicking down twice now when I press down on the brake pedal. Very noticeable for me, could be very dangerous if the wife was driving and this happened. Also having the seat recall done, check on the venturi for the radiator(had one replaced already) and a cold idle romp. Got an appointment for Wednesday.

That is my concern too. Do you guys think that this could be a potential problem?

It has been for use in the patch doing are run bc we dont hit the 50 kmh needed all day till we go home and then its only for 20 min on the highway. so as of now we have had dodges towed out bc of it and its a $600 tow ouch. so im worried about that. we work a 8 and 6 12 hour shifts. so its really inconvient to have to go for a 40 min drive to clean it after work for the guys with the dodges.

Regen at idle will still occur, note the quote from the TSB, it will no longer occur under a very specific situation. Most of us have nothing to worry about.

"Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration will no longer initiate at idle and in power-take-off (PTO) mode."

mine doesnt regen at idle...
I get a message that says drive to clean filter.
And a message when driving that says cleaning exhaust filter. I've seen it twice. It was regenning on the highway, pulled over, and nothing at that point. Started back up, and it regenned again

I think that means both situations. Not both situations at the same time.

i think so to bc why would it have the please drive if it would regen at idle. i like how mine regens right now it trys not to at a idle. if im doing lots on the highway it will regen when im moving but if i stop it wont. but if im at work and not getting enough highway it will regen at idle.

I am curious ..what did the mpg go from to now with the flash? I am getting a splendid 12 hwy/rural city mix.

I had the TSB 08-13-3 done about 2 weeks ago. I have an Insight monitor so I know when I'm in regen. When slowing down for a light and stopping revs are normal and don't increase (even with the foot off the brake) while the Insight still shows regen. If in a regen and I shift into Park the regen stops. Performance seems to be the same and maybe even a bit better. But I have a question, those who have had this flash done, do any of you see the regen messages other than in the System Check mode? I only see them in the System Check mode. I'm usually in MPG mode and nothing comes up. I can't report on any improvement in mpg as I haven't gone through enough fuel to see.

Tnx for the reply Stymie! What mode is your display in when it comes up? Or are you on the blank screen? Maybe I'm too late at seeing it?

I would like to know which screen you are on also. Mine is usually on the MPG screen. I had the reflash done a couple of weeks ago and I think I'm getting a little better mileage, but it may be my imagination. I have only witnessed 3 regens since I had the truck, have about 30,000 miles on it now. My exhaust tips have been black since day one and I've noticed it's blowing black smoke a little more than it used to. I passed a car today doing about 55-60 MPH and saw a pretty nice trail of black smoke in my mirror!
