Question Water Intrusion Problem

Last week on a day with a snow and rain mix my wipers and blower moter on the climate control system both suddenly quit working. After a call to the dealer to find which fuse to check I found that a 5 amp fuse had blown. After replacing the fuse everything worked for about 2 minutes before blowing the fuse again. After trying another fuse with the same results I took it in to the dealer. After they looked at it they found there to be a second fuse in the same block to also be blown. They replaced both fuses and everything worked fine until I ran the truck thru the auto carwash today. After exiting the wash I turned on the wipers and they did'nt work and the blower moter also quit. I was only a block from the dealer at the time so I took it there right away and the fuses were not blown. After plugging the computer in to the truck there were no issues to show up. The wipers then did start to work for a few swipes and then quit again on there own, the tech said the problem seems to be that something is getting wet and causing the problem. He checked the connection for the wiper moter and everything was good there. I have the truck in my garage tonight to try and dry out whatever it is that's getting wet as I need to have my truck tomorrow. As of now still no wipers and blower motor. Anyone else with this problem?

Just after having my truck washed on Saturday, as soon as I left the car wash, my powered driver's seat, the powered mirrors, the elect. adjustable brake/accel. pedals, and seat position memory feature began to fail in sequence.

Today, the truck is at the dealership, where the technicians are trying to diagnose the system failure. No fuses were blown, and no faulty relays. The features affected are just dead. Not sure if the car wash was the culprit, but after reading your post, I'm a little suspicious.

MY PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED.

No signal was being received from the driver's seat module - located under the seat. The driver's seat was removed to allow access to the system's control module. From the factory, the module's harness was not fully engaged. From that point it was probably jarred completely loose at the car wash while they were vacuuming under the driver's seat.

I hope you get your situation squared away soon.

Good luck!
